All non-emergency departments of the City of West Orange will be closed Friday, April 18 - Monday, April 21, 2014 in observance of Easter.  Waste Management will be picking up trash on Friday, April 18, as scheduled.

The next Regular Session of Council will begin at 5:30 p.m on Monday, April 28, 2014.

As Mayor Pro-Tem Shirley Bonnin and Council Members Dale Dardeau and Mike Shugart, Sr. had no opponents sign up to run in the 2014 election, the General Election was cancelled, and these indivuals were certified as unopposed and hereby elected.  However, the City of West Orange WILL have a Special Election on May 10, 2014.  To see a copy of the  Ordinance cancelling the General Election, as well as the Notice for the 2014 Special Election, click here.

The West Orange Volunteer Fire Department is now seeking applicants for membership in the department.  Interested individuals must be at least 18 years of age, be of good moral character, live within 5 miles of the city limits of West Orange and have a valid Texas driver’s license.  Applicants must be willing to commit time to the department and the City by faithfully attending and participating in drills and various training sessions.  Applications are available at West Orange City Hall, 2700 Western Avenue, West Orange, Texas or click here:
