The next meeting of the West Orange City Council will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014, 5:30 p.m. The proposed tax rate for the 2014-2015 fiscal year will be discussed during this meeting.

TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF
PROPOSED TAX RATE
The City of West Orange, Texas will hold a meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014 in the West Orange Community Center inside West Orange City Hall (2700 Western Avenue, West Orange, Texas) to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2014. The proposed tax rate is $0.42500 per $100 of value.
The proposed tax rate would increase total taxes in the City of West Orange, Texas by 2.36%.

The West Orange Volunteer Fire Department is now seeking applicants for membership in the department. Interested individuals must be at least 18 years of age, be of good moral character, live within 5 miles of the city limits of West Orange and have a valid Texas driver’s license. Applicants must be willing to commit time to the department and the City by faithfully attending and participating in drills and various training sessions.
